The Chess Odyssey Camp Program has developed over 20 years and 185 camps. Each camp features substantial instruction in a fun and exciting environment. Mornings are mostly devoted to group learning, small group coaching, skill-building exercises, and one-to-one interaction with our staff. Afternoons are mostly spent refining skills and understanding in both formal and recreational play. The curriculum for each camp is unique so attending more than one camp further increase their skills without repeating material they’ve already studied. Some of our students attend most every camp we offer; many come to at least two camps during the summer. Campers are divided into study-play groups based on their age and experience. Some of our students are state champions (we’ve trained 76 of them), and others are just figuring out how the pieces move. We treasure each and every one of them. Our twin measures of success are learning and laughter. Happy, excited kids learning a great game with their friends, old and new, is what we're all about.
